Physio Column: Matthew Powell

24/08/2008: Matt Powell gave us an update from the treatment room after The Martyrs trip to Cambridge City:
- Mike Jones (cruciate knee ligaments): Has started running and is training with Matt. Due back in around two weeks.
- Jamie Rewbury (back injury): Played 60 minutes of the Yate Town away match, using his left foot. Due back in 2-4 weeks.
- Garry Shephard (hamstring): Sustained hamstring injury against Yate Town. A doubt for Stourbridge but should be back in a week or so.
- Sam O'Sullivan (hamstring): Sam is fit again and ready for first team selection.
- Dale Griffiths (hip): Sustained a 'Hip Flexor' injury against Yate Town and should return in around a week.
16/08/2008: Merthyr Tydfil FC physio Matthew Powell gives an update of the latest injury news, following on from Saturday's match against Brackley Town at Penydarren Park:
- Jamie Rewbury: Injury to his back in the pre-season match against Cardiff City, out for several weeks.
- Mike Jones: Damaged knee ligaments, due back in three to four weeks.
- Ashley Morris: Doing well after Four Nations Tournament injury. Off crutches, has begun jogging but no jumping. Due back around Christmas 2008.
- Craig James: Cruciate injury at the beginning of last season, due back in around two months.
