Club History:

As Merthyr approach the Centenary year anniversary of the formation of the Town's first major Association Football Club, it is perhaps fitting that they are currently fighting it out amongst the Premier Division of The Southern Football League - now The British Gas Business Football League of course. Football Academy:

The Merthyr Tydfil Football Academy was established in 2004 with the primary aim of providing local players the opportunity to develop to the best of their ability.

2008/2009 season marks the centenary of 100 years of football played at Merthyr's current ground - Penydarren Park.
